Given that insurance penetration is very low, majority of people have to undergo treatment by paying out of their own pockets. It is estimated that around 5 Crore Indians come face to face with poverty due to healthcare expenditures in a year. A small support extended by those who can, would mean a very big thing for such marginalized poor patients as they face two difficulties- one pay from their hard earned savings and also at times not been able to earn being sick and not being able to work for money.
